Art Classes and Workshops

Classes will be offered through the Ottawa Carleton District School Board in the fall.

Mixed Media for Adults - 23954 (4 weeks)
Fees:$79.00
Description: Create numerous pieces of artwork using acrylic paints,
acrylic mediums and various items you would never expect to find in a
piece of art. No experience required. Bring to your first class
acrylic paint (Dollar store or Art store quality), watercolour paper
and textured/coloured scrapbooking paper. Supply fee $20.

ARTIST BIO

Teri Anne Ryerson started taking art classes at the age of 5 and discovered her love for many different forms of art. She is now a potter, painter (mixed media, acrylics, oils, and water colours), makes jewellery, and sews. Teri Anne is a known potter and mixed media painter in the Ottawa region. She is a member and publicity chair for the Nepean Fine Arts League (NFAL) and coordinator for their Spring show. She is also a member of the Ottawa Artisans Guild (formerly Gloucester Craftsmen’s Guild). Teri Anne has participated in more than 30 art shows over the last few years. Recently several of her pieces were included in Gallery 7A’s Abstractions show. Her work has been featured on the local cable network and discussed on the radio. Teri Anne has had her work displayed in galleries, restaurants, local and corporate businesses, as well as museums. Teri Anne teaches mixed media classes for all ages.

Pottery prices depend on size and complexity of the piece. They range from $5.00 to $85.00, with most pieces around the $25-$50 range. All pottery is dishwasher, microwavable, freezer, oven and bbq friendly!
